Welcome to "Megacities-Megachallenge"!
This is the webpage of the Priority Program 1233 "Megacities-Megachallenge - Informal Dynamics of Global Change", funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Primary research areas are the process dynamics of global change, mega-urbanisation and informal phenomena and their relationships and interactions.
The program is designed for 6 years, with 3 phases of each 2 years. In the ongoing third phase 10 interdisciplinary projects are conducting research in the Pearl River Delta (China) and Dhaka (Bangladesh).
